CPG marketing is distinct from marketing in other industries in a few important ways. While branding strategies and marketing tactics like TV ads or social media influencers are still employed in CPG marketing, brick and mortar retail is still a very important component to CPG marketing. Efforts like trade promotions are crucial to attracting new shoppers (trial & repeat) and being able to measure the effectiveness of CPG marketing efforts is especially important for smaller CPG manufacturers working with smaller marketing budgets.
