Walmart One Version of Truth (OVT): Retail Collaboration

Walmart One Version of Truth is Walmart’s collaboration program, and platform, designed to allow unlimited users access to RMS, Panel, Pricing & Spectra Strategic Insights within Walmart’s retailer defined hierarchy and centered around their 62 CMAs. OVT is the only way to access Walmart’s aligned view of their retailer defined hierarchy. Data access is delivered through custom dashboards.

What’s up next for OVT? The program will continue to evolve to include dashboards for: line review prep, JBP & QBR prep, category trend & emerging industry trends understanding.

  • Planning Dashboards: Align on key metrics in your buyer’s meeting so you can quickly make recommendations. These sets of reports enable casual users, at a glance, to see how they’re performing with Walmart and provides a starting point for discussions or analyses. Centered around Walmart’s key business priorities, they will provide a picture of the manufacturer’s performance using Walmart’s specific view.
  • Ad-Hoc Reports: These roadmaps and dashboards will give users access to the same view of Walmart’s performance that Walmart merchants have. Teams can dive deep and formulate recommendations aligned to Walmart’s RDH with the addition of 62 customer market areas (CMAs).
  • Price Beats: Walmart seeks to beat at least 80% of the rest-of-market volume on price. The Price Beats report aligns with Walmart’s pricing strategy of leveraging disaggregated data to identify the price needed to beat 80% of rest-of-market volume. Information is provided at the brand level and with custom market area granularity allowing you to ensure that your prices align with Walmart’s strategic pricing objectives.
