Nielsen Enrichment Studio (NES)
Enrichment Studio is a Software as a Service (SaaS) based application that allows users to modify or integrate Nielsen data with their own attributes and metrics. For example, a business unit that wants to create an attribute categorizing every UPC by the current week’s price, making that new attribute available to all users within the business. A team could also integrate shipment data with consumption data, leveraging machine learning to automatically match similar, but not exact product descriptions. Even a team that wants to track against last year’s performance versus forecast, can build a unique metric that shows if they are on track or off.
NES Enrichment
Provides a rule-based customization of datasets across dimensions (i.e. new product attributes or metrics)
NES Integration
Through the Integration, Mapping & Harmonization workflows, NES users are able to align the metadata between a Nielsen RMS dataset with other datasets a user brings in. Machine learning algorithms are used to initially connect the metadata from one set to the other(s). Using Nielsen’s base of rich Product Reference Data as the backbone and glossary for ML algorithmic matching, users can review what the machine found and either accept or decline matches. They may also map and harmonize values that the machine did not identify on its own, so that the algorithm may “learn” and make more accurate connections on future integration attempts.
